At Swim Essentials, we strive to contribute to a more sustainable production process and thus a greener world! That's why we've set up our own sewing workshop in 's-Hertogenbosch, where we produce our entire Swimwear collections for kids. Moreover, in our workshop, we give refugees and asylum seekers the chance to make a fresh start in the Netherlands. Take Ahmad, for example, who has been in the Netherlands since 2013 and had to change asylum location seven times before ending up in 's-Hertogenbosch.
Here, through the Municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch, he came into contact with Talentrix, a Swim Essentials partner that ensures people with a distance to the labor market are (re)integrated into the Dutch labor market.
Ahmad was the owner of his own sewing workshop in Afghanistan for many years but had to flee due to the war. Through a wonderful collaboration between the Municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch, Talentrix, and Swim Essentials, Ahmad is now fully integrated into our country and has secured a full-time job in the Netherlands with his background from Afghanistan.
